Happy Holidays,
I’m not one of those people who gets really into the holiday spirit this time of year, but I do love holiday music. I’m a big believer in the power of a good song. The right song can cheer you up, help you work through a problem or fill you with memories. Holiday music is especially full of memories for all of us, isn’t it? Throughout the holidays, during all of our decorating, cooking and gift opening, my mom always had music playing in the background. A certain song can transport me back to my childhood living room, where my brother and I fought to see who could fit the most tinsel onto our Christmas tree.
Here are my ten favorite holiday songs. Some of them are sad, and some of them are nostalgic, but they all help me get into the holiday spirit and feel connected to my family who is far away. Many of these songs have been sung by different artists, but I’m listing my favorite versions here.
- My Grown Up Christmas List- Amy Grant
- All I Ever Get For Christmas is Blue- Over the Rhine
- O Holy Night- N’Sync (yep, and I’m not ashamed. JT, y’all)
- White Winter Hymnal- Sonos
- Fairytale of New York- The Pogues
- The Christmas Song- Nat King Cole
- Christmas Time is Here- The Vince Guaraldi Trio
- Ave Maria- The Celtic Woman
- The Carpenters- Merry Christmas, Darling
- Angels We Have Heard On High- Pentatonix

I had to also add my favorite videos because they make me happy. Hope they make your day more merry!
Wishing you and your families a healthy and happy holiday!
