We’ve been in Charlotte, NC visiting family this weekend. This trip came only 6 days after we returned from our last trip. We’re excited to visit with family, but you can bet that my husband and I are pretty tripped out.
During the third hour of listening to a super annoying kids movie through the car speakers, I decided that on the way home we’ll be listening to music, dammit!! My kids actually love to listen to popular music and, 75% of the time, they have pretty good taste.
I’ll be honest, my kids sometimes listen to songs with questionable lyrics. Why do they make songs with adult themes so dang catchy?? These are the songs my kids love to sing along to that are also completely kid-friendly.
1. Got to Give It Up-Marvin Gaye
2. Take Me Home Country Roads-John Denver
3. Don’t You Worry Bout A Thing-Stevie Wonder
4. September-Earth, Wind & Fire or the new version from Trolls with JT and Anna Kendrick
5. Club Can’t Handle Me-Flo-Rida
6. This Is How We Do It-Montell Jordan
7. Cheap Thrills-Sia
8. Shake Your Coconuts-Junior Senior
9. Say Hey-Michael Franti and Spearhead
10. Don’t Stop Believin’-Journey
11. Walkin on Sunshine-Katrina and the Waves
12. American Girl-Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

15. Lovely Day-Bill Withers
16. Ain’t Too Proud To Beg-The Temptations
17. I Don’t Like It, I Love It-Flo Rida
18. You Make My Dreams-Hall and Oates

20. Closer-The Chainsmokers
